Mobile Fidelity StudioDeck+ Turntable $1,595

Just received our shipment of the Mobile Fidelity StudioDeck + Turntable/Arm combo. Like the big brother UltraDeck+, this was designed by turntable expert/Spiral Groove founder Allen Perkins.
The platter is made of Delrin, which MoFi claims is the perfect impedance match for vinyl records. Interestingly the pulley is also made of Delrin. The 10” custom-developed Studio tonearm is made of aluminum and features adjustable tracking force, VTA, azimuth and anti-skate. The bearing is inverted steel/Teflon for low noise/friction and stability. To minimize resonances and noise even further, the anti-vibration feet was co-developed by Harmonic Resolution Systems. Finally, the turntable comes with a StudioTracker MM cartridge, premounted and adjusted at the factory by trained experts, so the turntable is literally plug and play.Both the StudioDeck+ and UltraDeck+ turntables are made in the US.

We haven’t had a chance to listen to the StudioDeck+ yet, but the UltraDeck+ really impressed us. It’s effortless dynamics, musicality and detail easily compared with more expensive turntables we sell. I have no doubt that the StudioDeck+ will be the same overachiever as its bigger brother.
