Building upon design principles from the Axios USB cable and previous Kimber Select models (KS2416, KS2426, & KS2436), this new GEN 2 USB cable redefines performance and craftsmanship.

Key advancements in these USB cables include an improved ± data pair with a low-density PTFE dielectric. The copper version incorporates silver-plated copper, while the HB and AG models feature pure silver data pairs within a pigment-free PTFE dielectric. The data pair shielding is meticulously bonded to the connector shell using a 0.003-inch layer of pure silver foil, reducing RF impedance to ground for optimal signal clarity across all models.

The copper and HB models use copper conductors for the 5V DC line, whereas the AG model employs pure silver conductors, enhancing conductivity and precision. The robust conductor design enables flawless performance even at extended lengths of up to 6 meters, with options available from 0.5 to 6 meters.

Ultra High Molecular Weight Polyethylene (UHMWPE) fibers are braided alongside the data and power conductors, maintaining consistent geometry and greatly enhancing durability. These fibers, trusted in medical applications for their mechanical strength, contribute exceptional resilience to the GEN 2 cables, making them as tough as they are technically refined.
