The McIntosh MCD350 will play both SACDs and CDs, featuring a balanced 32bit/192lHz DAC. Both Balanced and RCA outputs are available, along with digital coax and optical outputs. The chassis features a rigid aluminum die-cast disc tray. The laser reads at 2X read speed, allowing the data to be stored in a buffer memory for better error correction and tracking. Different lasers are used to read the SACD and CD layers.

McIntosh MA 8900 Integrated Amplifier

The MA8900 is the first of the company’s new generation of integrated amps. Rated at 200 watts/ch, it is the first to feature the new McIntosh Monogrammed Heatsinks. Attached to the new heatsinks are advanced high current transistors that eliminate thermal equilibrium lag time so that the amp does not require much warming up for optimal sound.

To ensure that the MA8900 can keep up with changes in digital audio, all digital inputs are housed in the new DA1 Digital Audio Module, which is easily replaceable. The DA1 can decode 32bit/384kHz, supporting DSD256 and DXD. It also has MM/MC phono input, Home Theater Pass Through and Headphone Amplifier with McIntosh’s Headphone Crossfeed Director circuit.
